Animated explainer video created to help educational technology professionals, instructors, teachers and students in higher ed and K-12 understand the StudyMate application and how it benefits them.

StudyMate helps students “master the basics” of course material through learning activities, self-assessments, and games. A dozen activities – such as flash cards, crosswords and quizzes – engage students with course content in an individualized way which can also be access through smartphones and tablets making mobile learning a real thing.

Flashcards have been used by students for decades… Actually, it’s centuries…

Then the Internet came along and instructors put their flashcards online. It was an improvement, but it was still … flashcards. Not only that, students had to keep track of all the URLs they received… And teachers didn’t know if students were even using the materials.

StudyMate is the smarter way to make flash cards.
An item is created once… and it can be studied with Flash Cards / Pick A Letter / Fill in the Blank / Matching / Crosswords and more.
StudyMate also lets you create multiple choice questions, transforming them into practice quizzes and games. In all, there are 11 self-assessments and games in StudyMate, supporting a range of learning styles and objectives.

StudyMate really shines when used with a Learning Management System. The integration is seamless, and looks like just another LMS feature. There’s no need to create a StudyMate account or use a separate login — it happens automatically in the learning system.

StudyMate let’s teachers see which students are using the flash cards and self-assessments … and which ones aren’t…
School administrators can view statistics on how StudyMate is used across the entire institution.

And for students, there’s an iPhone and Android app that makes “mobile learning” a real thing.
A “StudyMate Campus” license covers the entire school or university — every teacher, every student. Students can even create their own StudyMate projects… and share them with classmates. It’s collaborative learning at its best – and skills that will last a lifetime.
